Responsibilities

The International Cooperation Section is responsible for:

  1. supporting activities related to initiating and coordinating international cooperation of the Jagiellonian University with universities and research institutions at the university level;
  2. preparing bilateral agreements on scientific cooperation realised at the university level;
  3. providing support to JU units that want to make cooperation agreements on faculty and institute level;
  4. coordinating the JU's participation in IRUN;
  5. organising trainings and meetings for international relations officers from partner universities;
  6. editing the IRO's periodical Newsletter;
  7. database of all the JU's bilateral agreements with international universities and research institutions;
  8. coordinating exchange within bilateral agreements at the university level and providing administrative-financial assistance to JU staff, PhD candidate and students;
  9. administering the Rector's Committee for Bilateral Grants for Students and PhD Candidates;
  10. coordinating and administering The Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (SYLFF) and the Jagiellonian University SYLFF Steering Committee;
  11. administrative-financial assistance to holders of the Lew Sapieha Award and the Iwan Wyhowski Award (academic staff and PhD candidates from Belarus and Ukraine) as well as the JU's grant-holders of The Króliczewski Educational Fund;
  12. administrative assistance to JU's candidates for governmental scholarships offered by the Bureau for Academic Recognition and International Exchange;
  13. coordinating posts for Polish language teachers within governmental agreements;
  14. coordinating and registering ERASMUS+ agreements (KA1 Mobility for learners and staff) and administrative-financial assistance to staff mobility, in particular:
    1. collaboration with the Erasmus+ co-ordinators,
    2. recruitment for JU staff mobility,
    3. providing information and assistance to participating staff,
    4. reports on staff mobility,
    5. organizing/co-organizing Erasmus Staff Training Weeks at the UJ,
  1. collaborating with JU units concerning rankings, internationalisation and international cooperation;
  2. collaborating with JU units concerning the realization of bilateral exchange of  students/PhD candidates at the university level;
  3. websites of IRO, SYLFF and IRUN;
  4. IRO's distribution list (information about various grants, summer schools, conferences and scientific events);
  5. reporting on international co-operation.

 

The Administration and Finances Section is responsible for:

  1. providing administrative-financial assistance to JU staff, PhD candidates and students qualified for international mobility, in particular:
    1. mobility application forms and their verification,
    2. mobility procedures and settlement of advance payments,
    3. information on the rules of calculation of expenditures on mobility,
    4. mobility database,
    5. collaboration with the JU Bursar's units and Personnel Department,
    6. international insurance for staff, PhD candidates and students,
    7. financial assistance to mobility within Erasmus+,
  1. coordinating the collaboration with travel agencies;
  2. tender call notices for the booking of air, train and bus tickets;
  3. collaboration with the airlines.
